Dacha Beer Garden is coming to 1115 East-West Highway in Silver Spring, taking over the former site of Denizens Brewery. Denizens, which opened in the space in June 2014, closed its Silver Spring location in October 2023, with owner Julie Verrati stating, “Our ten-year lease has come to an end, and that’s the end of an era for us. It’s been an incredible ten years in Silver Spring, and we’re so grateful for the community here…” Denizens can still be found at 4550 Van Buren St in Riverdale Park, MD.

Montgomery County Council committees will review two bills on March 27 aimed at expanding tax relief and encouraging housing development.
