Beyond MoCo: Chef José Andrés Offering $50 Gift Cards to His DC Restaurants to Those Who Get COVID-19 Vaccine
From now until 70% of the U.S. population is vaccinated, Chef José Andrés is offering a $50 gift card to vaccinated customers at any of his Think Food Group restaurants in the DC. Participating restaurants include China Chilcano, Jaleo, Oyamel, and Zaytinya. Complete rules and restrictions listed below.
“Ok! We want everyone vaccinated! Starting tomorrow, until we reach 70% of total population anyone that comes with vaccine papers,that proves that has been vaccinated will get $50 gift certificate for any of @thinkfoodgroup restaurants in the @washingtondc area…,” Andres tweeted on May 7th.
José Andrés opened Spanish Diner at 7271 Woodmont Avenue in Bethesda this past Thursday. This restaurant is not listed as participating in the $50 gift card promotion.
Available in Washington, DC restaurants only (China Chilcano, Jaleo, Oyamel, Zaytinya).
To be eligible for the $50 bonus card, you must be fully vaccinated with your first vaccine occurring on or after May 8, 2021. Please present your vaccine card at a DC-Area restaurant to redeem for use on your next visit. You will need to submit your name, email and phone number in order to receive the card. Each person is only eligible for one $50 card. Your card can be used towards a future meal within the next 30 days, Monday-Thursday for food only.

This gift of $50 is valid 30 days from date of issue for dine-in only Monday-Thursday for the purchase of food. It cannot be used for gratuity, tax or alcohol and is not valid for takeout, delivery or any third party sites. This card is for one-time use and cannot be redeemed for cash or replaced if lost or stolen.
