Investigators Seek Information About Armed Robbery That Occurred on Monday Night

Per Takoma Park Police: On September 5, at approximately 9:53 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the intersection of Hammond Avenue and Anne Street for the report of an armed robbery.

The victim was walking towards University Boulevard on Anne Street when he was approached by two male suspects who pushed him to the ground and demanded property.  The victim observed both suspects pointing handguns at him and ordering him not to look at them.  The victim complied and gave the suspects his property.  The two suspects fled south westbound on Anne Street to a waiting black 4-door sedan (unknown tags) that fled north westbound on Kennewick Avenue toward Lockney Avenue.

The suspects are described as two males (unknown race), both last seen wearing white hooded sweatshirts, black masks, blue jeans and both armed with handguns. The victim was not seriously physically injured during the armed robbery.  Officers conducted a canvas of the area with negative results. Lookout information was provided to all surrounding jurisdictions.
