Montgomery County Holiday Schedule for Juneteenth on Monday, June 20

Per Montgomery County:
For Immediate Release: Monday, June 13, 2022
The Montgomery County Government will observe the following schedule changes for formal observance of Juneteenth on Monday, June 20:

  • County offices—Closed.
  • State offices and courts—Closed.
  • State Motor Vehicle Administration offices and Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program stations—Closed.
  • Libraries—Closed.
  • Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS)—Most stores will be open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The Poolesville spirits-only story will be open noon-5 p.m.
  • Ride On—Will operate on a holiday schedule using the schedules that went into effect on May 8. Those schedules can be viewed at RideOnBus.com.
  • Ride On extRa and Flex—Not in service.
  • Flash—Will operate on a weekend schedule (Orange Line only).
  • MARC Train and Commuter Bus—Regularly scheduled Sunday Penn Line service on Sunday, June 19. R Schedule on all three lines, in addition Penn Line trains 453 and 452 will operate on Monday, June 20.
  • TRiPS Silver Spring commuter store—Open 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • TRiPS Mobile Commuter Store—Closed.
  • Metrorailand Metrobus – Metrorail will operate on its Sunday schedule on Sunday, June 19, with service from 7 a.m.-midnight. On Monday, June 20, it will operate on a Saturday Holiday schedule, with service between 5 a.m. and midnight. Metrobus will operate on a weekday schedule on Monday, June 20.   • Parking at public garages, lots, curbside meters—Free.
  • County-collected trash and recycling—County-collected trash and recycling will be made as usual on Monday, June 20. Pickups for the rest of week will also be on a regular schedule.
  • Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station—Closed on Sunday, June 19. Open on Monday, June 20.
  • Recreation: County outdoor aquatic facilities will be open 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 3-6 p.m. Indoor aquatic facilities will close at 6 p.m.
  • Community recreation and senior centers—Closed.
