In May we let you know that Yummy Bowl Mongolian Stir-fry and Sushi announced it will be opening this month at 2010 Veirs Mill Rd in Rockville. The restaurant is making progress and a Delaware location is opening this month, giving us a sneak peek at what to expect in Rockville (photos below).
According to Maryland Lottery and Gaming, Maryland’s six casinos combined to generate $169,821,301 in revenue from slot machines and table games during July 2024, a decrease of $4,501,777 (-2.6%) compared to July 2023. The Chevy Chase Land Company has announced the sale of Chase Manor to Toll Brothers, Inc., which will be redeveloping the site into a new luxury townhome community named Chevy Chase Crossing.
Buca di Beppo, the family-style Italian dining brand, today announced that it has voluntarily filed for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas. Buca di Beppo closed its only Montgomery County location at 112 Kentlands Blvd in Gaithersburg on Sunday, June 23. A replacement has not yet signed on.

Starbucks has opened its newest Montgomery County location in the redeveloped Westbard Square. The previous Starbucks at 5438 Westbard Avenue in the Westwood Shopping Center closed last December. The new store is located at 5310 Westbard Ave.
