A Montgomery County man won $450,000 in the January 17 Bonus Match 5 drawing after repeatedly playing the same set of numbers across nine combinations. Lottery officials said the winner plans to use the prize to fund his grandchildren’s college education, and the Clarksburg retailer that sold the ticket will receive a bonus for the sale. FOX5 meteorologist Mike Thomas has released his early first call thoughts on a potentially significant winter storm expected to impact the region this weekend, signaling confidence is growing in a high impact snow event for parts of the Mid Atlantic. The map shows 8-14 inches for a big portion of Maryland and Northern Virginia, including all of Montgomery County and immediately surrounding areas.
