“The Greatest Night in Pop,” is an upcoming Netflix documentary (available to view on January 29th, trailer below) that revisits the moment when 46 of the biggest names in pop music, led by Michael Jackson, came together for a single night to record a song to raise money for African famine relief. The documentary is directed by Bao Nguyen, who was born and raised in Silver Spring, MD., and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 2001.
U.S. District Judge Deborah L. Boardman sentenced Denish Sahadevan, a/k/a “Danny Devan,” age 32, of Potomac, Maryland, today to three years in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for wire fraud, aggravated identity theft and money laundering, relating to his scheme to defraud lenders and the Small Business Administration (“SBA”) of more than $1.2 million in Paycheck Protection Program (“PPP”) loans and Economic Injury Disaster Loans (“EIDL”).

Ekó House, located at 150 Gibbs St. in Rockville Town Square, will be closing on Sunday, January 14th. The restaurant took over the space that was previously home to Bar Louie and has been open for approximately two years.
