Barcode, a fixture of the city’s nightlife and dining scene since its opening in November 2010, has officially closed its doors. The popular restaurant, bar, and lounge, located on K Street NW, announced its closure via social media, confirming that its final night of business was Sunday.

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) shared at 11:24pm that “5D officers dispatched at 10:59 p.m. to the 18500 block of Tarragon Way for the report of a non-contact shooting.” This incident occurred in Germantown. MCPD reported that “the scene is secure. No suspects are in custody.”
11:11pm UPDATE: Negotiators are on scene in the 22700 block of Mt. Ephraim Road, where an adult female is barricaded inside a residence. Efforts are underway to resolve the situation peacefully.
