During the premiere of his new FOX series, Secret Service, Gordon Ramsay visited the Parthenon in Chevy Chase. The restaurant, a local fixture since 1989, is owned by Montgomery County resident Pete Gouskos. Maryland-National Capital Park Police (Montgomery County Division) responded to Lake Frank in Derwood on Saturday for a juvenile bald eagle caught in fishing line with a hook in its mouth. The eagle was rescued, treated at the Moon Owl Raptor Center, and will be released soon.

A major pipe burst at Gaithersburg High School has forced the closure of the special education hallway and approximately 20 classrooms as of Tuesday morning, according to a school source (video below).
Rowan, a piercing studio with all of its piercings performed by licensed nurses, is opening a new location in Gaithersburg’s Downtown Crown. This will be the studio’s third Maryland location after opening its first in Bethesda and second in Annapolis.
The Greek Orthodox Church of St. George in Bethesda, MD, will hold its annual Greek Festival on Saturday, May 31 from 12pm-9pm, and Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 12pm-7pm. The festival will be held on the church grounds at 7701 Bradley Boulevard in Bethesda, and is free and open to the public.
The Burtonsville Access Road project provides for the construction of approximately 1,400 linear feet of new roadway with two lanes and parking on the westbound side located in Burtonsville, Maryland.
