Maryland’s new Fresh Start Tax Payments Program will allow eligible formerly and currently incarcerated individuals to pay off state tax debt through extended payment plans with waived interest and penalties.
At approximately 10am Tuesday morning, units from the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a significant fire at a three-story apartment building located at 746 Quince Orchard Blvd in Gaithersburg.

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation has received a $250,000 grant from the Maryland Department of Transportation to support community engagement for Project Connect, a planned 13.9-acre mixed-use development near the North Bethesda Metro Station. In the summer of 2019, we announced that Bear Brick Oven Pizza would take over the old Greek Islands Grill location on New Hampshire Avenue in Cloverly. After delays due to COVID, the restaurant opened its doors in April 2021. Now, after a little over four years, the restaurant has closed.
