MoCo Government

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation has received a $250,000 grant from the Maryland Department of Transportation to support community engagement for Project Connect, a planned 13.9-acre mixed-use development near the North Bethesda Metro Station. The funding will aid outreach efforts as the County partners with WMATA and MDOT to design a transit-oriented hub with housing, retail, and improved transit and pedestrian access. (more…)

Jamie has written extensively on this topic and draws from a life-long career in journalism, including his time at the Pentagon on 9/11.

Attorney General Anthony Brown and 16 other state attorneys general have filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Education, alleging it unlawfully cut funding for K-12 mental health programs established by Congress, affecting initiatives in Maryland and other states.

Montgomery County, Maryland boasts an impressive network of over 400 parks managed by Montgomery Parks, encompassing more than 34,000 acres. A recent study ranking Montgomery County the 6th “Best County For New Families” noted that 94.26% of the county’s population live within a half mile of a park.
