As with just about every list imaginable, there will be plenty who disagree with the Post’s rankings, but they’ve listed the following six restaurants as having the best New York style pizza in Maryland:
Since its closing in 2013, the absence of Roy’s Place has left a hole in the hearts of many current and former Montgomery County, Maryland residents. According to the now-defunct Roy’s Place website, the restaurant began serving their 200+ sandwiches in Rockville in 1955. After a couple moves within Rockville, they settled in at 2 E Diamond Ave in Olde Towne Gaithersburg in 1971. (more…)
According to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, “The Honorable Harry Storm has sentenced defendant, Kaleab Berhanu, 21, of Baltimore, to two consecutive life sentences plus 20 years for the shooting death of 20-year-old Carlos Carter. The sentencing hearing was held late Friday, September 20, 2024. Assistant State’s Attorneys Peter Larson and Thea Zumwalt prosecuted this case.” (more…)
