Pick Your Own Strawberries begin tomorrow (Tuesday, May 25th) at Butler’s Orchard in Germantown (22222 Davis Mill Rd). Picking is by reservation, but tickets are sold at the gate as long as space is available (it’s recommended to make a reservation).
On Thursday, May 27th, at 5:00pm, online reservations will go live for the following Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (Memorial Day). Please note the season is just beginning, check back soon for prime picking info and larger quantities.
Pre-Picked Butler’s strawberries are also now available online. Quantities are updated daily at 5pm, but The Farm Market has an abundant supply. The Farm Park is also open, and reservations are not needed.. the cost is $4 per person. Farmers Porch Kitchen is open on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Reservations are not needed.
This is the Farm Market’s 72nd season. Before the opening of its 71st season, Butler’s made several renovations, including paving its gravel parking lot. “After decades of thought, the farm market was finally paved to create a better experience for our customers. Delicate peaches and bumpy grocery carts just don’t go well together,” said Butler’s. Butler’s also rebuilt and completely replaced the north end of the market, which now matches the original build from 1960.
