Santa Claus will once again team up with the Montgomery County Department of Police’s Centralized Traffic Section for the annual Santa Ride on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. The festive procession will travel across the county to collect toys and gifts for the Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health, spreading holiday cheer while supporting young patients and their families.
The PJ Masks will be making a special appearance at Westfield Wheaton next week, offering families the chance to meet the popular children’s characters in person.
Students in Montgomery County Public Schools’ Automotive Trades Foundation (ATF) and Information Technology Foundation programs are gearing up for their first public sale of the school year, taking place this Saturday, December 6, from 9am to 11am at Gaithersburg High School. The event will feature a wide selection of student-refurbished used cars along with professionally reconditioned computers, all restored as part of hands-on career training. Rockville will host its annual Lunar New Year celebration on Saturday, Feb. 21, featuring multicultural performances, interactive displays, kids’ crafts, and free to-go snack boxes at Richard Montgomery High School.
North Bethesda’s annual Santa Crawl is set to return on Saturday, December 13, bringing an afternoon and evening of festive celebrations to Pike & Rose. The event will run from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 11870 Grand Park Avenue, offering holiday-themed activities, live entertainment, giveaways, and food and drink specials throughout the neighborhood.
Light Up the Lakefront is back at Rio in Gaithersburg this Saturday, December 6, bringing one of the area’s most popular holiday traditions to the waterfront. HOT 99.5’s Intern John, and The MoCoShow’s own “Mr. MoCo,” Alex Tsironis, will once again take the stage to host the event from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. The free celebration promises an evening packed with lights, music, entertainment, and a fireworks finale over the lake (video of last year’s event below).
