The Hometown Holidays festival will return to Rockville Town Center in May, featuring two days of local entertainment, food, shopping, and community activities, followed by the city’s annual Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade.

The festival, returning to its original location for the first time since 2019, will have a local, community-based focus with live music, artisan vendors, children’s activities, and food from local restaurants, while the Memorial Day Parade on May 26 will showcase over 60 groups celebrating the theme “Magic in America.”


The City of Gaithersburg, in partnership with The Peterson Companies and rio, will host the 23rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade at rio, located at the intersection of Rio Boulevard and Grand Corner Avenue and starting at 10am. Free parking will be available in three garages along Washingtonian Boulevard.

The Washington Capitals, in collaboration with Bethesda Row, will host a vibrant “Shop for the Cause” pop-up event on The Lane on Wednesday, March 19th, from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM. The Butterfly Experience at Brookside Gardens is returning to Montgomery Parks this spring. Formerly known as Wings of Fancy, the exhibit is relaunching on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 10 a.m., and runs through Sunday, September 21, 2025. Advanced timed tickets go on sale Monday, March 3.

The Olney Chamber of Commerce will host its 43rd Annual Community Day on Sunday, March 2, bringing together nearly 100 local businesses, non-profits, county agencies, community organizations, and more. Montgomery County’s longest-running business expo also features a family expo, live performances, the Taste of Olney, and activities for all ages.
