Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded around 12:30am Tuesday to the 200 block of Grove Avenue near Railroad Street in the Washington Grove/Gaithersburg area for a house fire.
An update released Monday afternoon is providing more details on a house fire in Gaithersburg that displaced a family and resulted in the loss of a pet.
Update: According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, the fire occurred Sunday (4/5) at a two-story single-family home on Prince Hall Court. One family was able to escape the home, while firefighters rescued several dogs during the incident. Four of the six dogs inside were saved, but a seventh dog did not survive.
