The National Weather Service (NWS) Climate Prediction Center in College Park, MD has put out a ‘slight risk’ for heavy snow (20-40% chance) for the Mid-Atlantic, including all of Maryland.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) have already responded to several calls for crashes across the county (20 in less than two hours) on Tuesday evening.

The City of Gaithersburg has declared a snow emergency from 6 p.m. on February 11 to 6 p.m. on February 12, requiring essential employees to report, enforcing parking restrictions, and initiating plowing operations as needed.
