The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) has sent a press release with information regarding the upcoming storm. The National Weather Service (NWS) has released its latest maps with 4-5 inches of snow for most areas, including most of Montgomery County, Howard County, Loudoun County, and Frederick County.
“How much are they saying we’re gonna get?” All four major networks have released their latest snowfall maps this morning. We’re gonna take a look at each of them and see who gets it right.
A Winter Storm Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) from Friday evening at 7pm until Saturday morning at 7am for portions of central, northern, and western Maryland, northern and northwestern Virginia, and eastern West Virginia. This includes upper Montgomery County.

The National Weather Service (NWS) released a “Special Weather Statement” earlier today regarding the storm headed our way late Friday into Saturday morning.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has released its maps for another storm that is headed our way later this week. This one is coming after work/school on Friday and into Saturday morning, so it doesn’t look like there will be any impacts on schools Friday.
