The National Weather Service (NWS) has upgraded DC, Prince George’s, Montgomery, Howard, Loudoun, Fairfax, and other surrounding counties to a Winter Storm Warning.
In the latest “Expected Snowfall” map from the National Weather Service (NWS), much of the area (Montgomery, Howard, Frederick, Carroll, and parts of Fairfax and London counties) is in the 3-4 inch range, with DC, Prince George’s County and part of Fairfax County in the 2-3 inch range.
The Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 7am Tuesday for just about all of the area, with approximately half an inch to an inch and a half of snow already on the ground from earlier this morning.
We are currently under a Winter Weather Advisory until 7am Tuesday morning with light snow falling Monday morning, slowing down a bit mid-morning, and becoming steadier in the afternoon and into tonight.
