The Town of Poolesville has declared a winter weather emergency in anticipation of substantial snowfall expected this weekend.
The MD 28 (Dickerson Road) bridge over the Monocacy River will be temporarily closed next weekend for repairs, impacting drivers who travel between southern Frederick County and northern Montgomery County.
Beallsville Road (MD-109) remains closed Sunday afternoon in Poolesville after a roughly 100-foot tree came down, damaging three to four utility and telephone lines. (more…)

A new locally owned restaurant has quietly opened its doors in Poolesville, bringing authentic Thai flavors to the heart of town. Thai Commons is now in a soft opening phase at 19635 Fisher Avenue, offering a menu rooted in traditional Thai cooking and family recipes.
