Earlier this month, we reported that celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay was filming a television series, possibly Kitchen Nightmares or a similar show, at Callahan’s Seafood Bar & Grill (1808 Rosemont Ave.) in Frederick. It has now been confirmed that Ramsay also recently filmed an episode at MacGregor’s Restaurant and Tavern in Havre de Grace, Maryland. (more…)

For the past 15 years, residents of Montgomery County have been raving about Jazmin Cuisine, located at 7601-F Airpark Rd. in Gaithersburg. Many consider this Tex-Mex eatery to be an even better—and more affordable—alternative to the global giant Chipotle. Since 1962, Jimmie Cone has been a beloved destination for soft serve ice cream and frozen yogurt in Damascus, Maryland (26420 Ridge Rd). Today it opens for its 63rd season, as the iconic ice cream shop continues to delight both longtime fans and new visitors alike. Jimmie Cone also boasts an additional location in Mount Airy (1312 S Main St.), expanding its reach to even more ice cream enthusiasts.

Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports and famous for his “One Bite” pizza reviews, visited Frank’s Pizza & Pasta at 6620 Belair Rd in Baltimore earlier this year to sample their offerings. Since his visit, customers have been lining up down the block before the restaurant opens, eager to savor the pizza and cheesesteak that Portnoy rated so highly.
Kareem’s Lebanese Kitchen has signed on to open a new restaurant at Gaithersburg’s Rio Lakefront. At this time, it’s unclear which space Kareem’s will be taking, but we will update with that information as soon as it becomes available.
