Montgomery County’s first Buffalo Wild Wings Go (BWW Go) is set to open its doors in Gaithersburg, bringing a new and streamlined way to enjoy the popular brand’s wings. The new location, situated at 16256 Frederick Road (corner of 355 and Shady Grove Rd.) will have its official grand opening on Friday, August 16th.

Update: Dollar Tree signs on to move into the space
The Staples store located in Germantown, MD, at 20906 Frederick Road STE A, is set to permanently close its doors on Thursday, August 29th. A store manager confirmed the impending closure, which marks the end of an era for the office supply retailer.
Back in January we let you know that bartaco signed on to open its first Maryland location at 11886 Grand Park Ave. in North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose. After little more than half a year later, there is some movement as construction prepares to begin and a hearing for the restaurant’s liquor license is scheduled for later in the month.
California Tortilla has closed its location at 10721 Columbia Pike in Shoppes of Burnt Mills shopping center in Silver Spring. The restaurant is listed as permanently closed on Google Business and no longer appears on the California Tortilla website.

Dolan Uyghur Cuisine, a highly anticipated addition to the Montgomery County dining scene since we shared the news a few weeks back, is now officially open. The restaurant, which specializes in authentic Uyghur dishes from Central Asia, is located at 20-A Maryland Ave in Rockville, within The Square at Rockville, in the space formerly occupied by Kung Fu Kitchen and Peter Chang Rockville.
Corner Bites is now open at 316 N Washington St. in Rockville, in the former location of 168 Seasons Restaurant and Xi’An Gourmet. 168 Seasons took over the location in July 2024 and Xi’An Gourmet/Hot Pot was in the space for approximately five years before that.
