Three Brothers Italian Restaurants, a staple of Maryland’s dining scene for over half a century, has been sold, according to The Restaurant Broker. The sale marks the end of an era for this beloved local chain, which once had a Rockville location at 1596-B Rockville Pike– the location that was also once home to Pizza CS.

Yelp has released its list of the top 50 Fried Chicken spots in the U.S. and Canada, according to Yelp Elites. One Maryland restaurant, Ekiben, made it onto the list– coming in ranked 4th in all of the U.S. and Canada. Ekiben was co-founder by a graduate of Quince Orchard High School.

has signed on to open its newest location at 12266F Rockville Pike in Federal Plaza. The store, which has put up coming soon signage, will be located between Tiger Sugar and Fulton Bank– near Torchy’s Tacos.
The Washington Post asked “What’s the best sandwich in DC?” and split the results into eleven different categories. In the Reuben category the winner came from Montgomery County, Maryland’s very own Parkway Deli.
Last November, we reported that California Fish Grill, a chain with approximately 50 restaurants in California and Arizona, signed on for its first Maryland location at 12238 Rockville Pike in Rockville’s Towne Plaza. Bitez, a new dining establishment specializing in halal cuisine, has officially opened its doors at 13525 Clopper Rd. in Germantown’s Seneca Plaza– located near Mamma Lena and Rio Grande. The restaurant offers a diverse menu that includes options such as chicken over rice, lamb gyro over rice, falafel over rice, pita wraps, salads, desserts, and drinks.
FingerLicking SoulFood, a Jamaican-style restaurant that began as a food truck in Frederick County, is now open in the Westfield Wheaton Mall food court.
Montgomery County-based Steeze Burger, previously recognized as the #1 burger in the DC area by the Washington Post, has garnered a large following, resulting in long lines and thousands of fans throughout the region. This week, they partnered with Leon’s Smashburgers, a renowned brand from Australia, for two pop-up events. The first took place on Friday, with a second scheduled for Sunday, July 20th, at Two Story Chimney in Gaithersburg/Damascus (video below).
