San Pancho, located in Takoma Park, was a finalist for “New Restaurant of the Year.”
In 2023, the Washington Post ranked Steeze Burger as the #1 burger in the DMV. Laytonsville resident Hunter Karametos, founder of Steeze Burger, launched the pop-up burger business in 2022 after spending nearly a year sampling over 150 different burgers for research. Last summer, Eddie V’s Prime Seafood sought approval to build a 10,000 SF restaurant at 151 Lakelands Drive, at the corner of Lakelands Drive and Great Seneca Highway in Gaithersburg– what would be Eddie V’s first Maryland location. The proposal was met with mixed emotions, sparking opposition from many Lakelands residents and prompting a petition that garnered over 100 signatures in the days following the news.
