Last summer, Eddie V’s Prime Seafood sought approval to build a 10,000 SF restaurant at 151 Lakelands Drive, at the corner of Lakelands Drive and Great Seneca Highway in Gaithersburg– what would be Eddie V’s first Maryland location. The proposal was met with mixed emotions, sparking opposition from many Lakelands residents and prompting a petition that garnered over 100 signatures in the days following the news.

Last April we let you know that local restaurant group Moby Dick House of Kabob signed on to open a new restaurant in Potomac’s Cabin John Village (11325 Seven locks Road Suite 180, Potomac MD 20854). The new location is adjacent to Colony Grill on the back side of the shopping center and opened last month. Now, the restaurant will be holding a grand opening celebration on Monday, April 28th, offering 25% off all in-store orders.

Peter’s Carryout, located at 8017 Wisconsin Ave., has been a Bethesda staple for decades, celebrated for serving what many call Bethesda’s best steak and cheese. Back in January 2024 we let you know that Eggspectation, a restaurant that serves “elevated American cuisine with a lengthy all-day breakfast menu alongside hearty lunch and dinner fare”, is returning to Montgomery County with its upcoming Burtonsville location (15763 Old Columbia Pike). The restaurant is now set to open soon with almost all interior construction complete (photo below).
