Today, Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced his “decision not to seek charges in the September fatal officer-involved shooting in Wheaton, Montgomery County, Maryland.”
Additional details have been released about the 2025 Taste of Wheaton, which will take place on Sunday, June 1 at Marian Fryer Town Plaza (2424 Reedie Drive) in Wheaton. The annual community event features food, live music and dance, rides, and children’s activities. New this year, according to the Wheaton Urban District, is a free pop-up roller skating rink. (more…)

Law Enforcement Against Drugs and Violence (L.E.A.D.), a dedicated nonprofit committed to safeguarding communities, is set to host a carnival at Westfield Wheaton from Friday, May 16 through Monday, May 26, 2025. The carnival was held at Westfield Montgomery last week.
