Nasir Wilkinson, 23, of District Heights, was sentenced in Montgomery County Circuit Court to 35 years in prison for attempted first-degree murder and witness retaliation. Wilkinson had already been serving time for a 2024 stabbing in Germantown and received additional prison time after sending threatening letters to the victim and a family member in 2025. (more…)

The Leesburg Police Department (LPD) is investigating a hit and run crash in which a pedestrian was struck while in a crosswalk. A Montgomery County man has been arrested for the crime.
