A Maryland man from Montgomery County pleaded guilty today to assaulting law enforcement during the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the U.S. Capitol. His actions and the actions of others disrupted a joint session of the U.S. Congress convened to ascertain and count the electoral votes related to the 2020 presidential election.
EDENS, which operates the recently updated Burtonsville Crossing, Cabin John Village, and more here in Montgomery County, announced today the opening of the first of three new anchor retail partners at Crofton Station in Gambrills, MD (Anne Arundel County). The Rockville City Police Department, in partnership with the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, will hold a gun buyback event on Saturday, August 17, at RedGate Park (14500 Avery Road). Participants will receive a $100 Visa gift card for functional handguns, rifles, and shotguns, and $200 in Visa gift cards for functional assault-style weapons and privately manufactured firearms (ghost guns).
The Big Dill, which describes itself as the “#1 Pickle Party in the World”, returns to Power Plant Live! at 34 Market Pl in Baltimore on September 21. In past years the event has included pickle sampling, concerts, carnival games, a pickle eating contest, a brine chugging competition, and an appearance by “Dilly” the pickle.
