According to Maryland Lottery and Gaming, Maryland’s six casinos combined to generate $153,243,316 in revenue from slot machines and table games during January 2024, a decrease of $14,027,082 (-8.4%) compared to January 2023. Casino gaming contributions to the state in January 2024 totaled $63,154,392, a decrease of $7,573,776 (-10.6%) compared to January 2023.
According to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, today in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, the Honorable John Maloney sentenced defendant, Leaundra Matthews, to 30 years in prison suspend all but 25 years to serve and five years of supervised probation upon release. (more…)

Last year, IKEA announced plans to open new format IKEA stores in Fairfax, Virginia, and Gaithersburg, Maryland, in fall 2023.
