Restaurants

Another Panera Bread location in Montgomery County appears to be on the way out. The Panera Bread at 219 East Middle Lane in Rockville Town Center is expected to close permanently in the coming weeks, according to an employee who spoke by phone on Monday afternoon. While a specific closing date has not been set, the employee confirmed the shutdown is imminent.

Theory Jiu Jitsu is set to officially open its doors in Rockville with a grand opening celebration on Saturday, May 9 at 12pm, bringing a new training space and community-focused academy to Wyaconda Road.

MoCo Government

The Montgomery County Council is expected to vote on Bill 5-26, known as the Unmask ICE Act, during its April 28 meeting. The legislation would prohibit federal, state, and local law enforcement officers from wearing masks or facial coverings while on duty in the County, with certain exceptions, and is intended to improve transparency and accountability.
