For the seventh time in 13 years, Maryland’s two gold-standard programs meet on the state’s biggest stage, an annual collision that now feels less like a championship game and more like a heavyweight trilogy gone long. Wise vs. Quince Orchard is no longer just a matchup; it’s a brand, a legacy, a measuring stick for what elite public-school football looks like in this state. And this year’s installment might be the most compelling yet. The game between No. 1 Quince Orchard vs. No. 3 Henry A. Wise will take place on Friday, December 5th at 7:30pm (Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium Annapolis, MD).

MCPS Monitoring Forecast Ahead of Possible Wintry Mix on Tuesday

Update: MCPS will operate on a two hour delay on Tuesday, 12/2/25.

Montgomery County Public Schools says it is closely monitoring weather conditions as a mix of freezing rain, light snow, and rain is expected to move into the region late Monday night into Tuesday morning. In an update shared Monday evening, the school system noted that while early predictions call for slick conditions early in the day, the system currently expects to operate on a normal schedule for Tuesday, December 2.

Ten People Indicted in Multiple Large-Scale Contraband Smuggling Schemes at Maryland Correctional Facility

Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced that 10 people have been indicted in three separate contraband-smuggling schemes at Jessup Correctional Institution in Anne Arundel County, following an investigation by the Maryland Office of the Attorney General’s Organized Crime Unit and the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.
