The City of Gaithersburg held a joint public hearing on April 21, 2025 for a Gateway Lakeforest– a plan that proposes to redevelop 481 N Frederick Ave and 101 Lakeforest Blvd with a new 8-story multi-family residential building with up to 410 units and a ground floor commercial use.
The Washington Commanders selected Oregon offensive tackle Josh Conerly, Jr. with their first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, further strengthening an already improved offensive line. However, contrary to circulating rumors, Conerly did not “send back a $100 bill” to the team.

Montgomery County residents can suggest locations for speed cameras by contacting the Montgomery County Police Automated Traffic Enforcement Program Manager. Cameras may only be placed on residential roads with speed limits of 35 mph or less or in school zones, as defined by Maryland law.

Last April we let you know that local restaurant group Moby Dick House of Kabob signed on to open a new restaurant in Potomac’s Cabin John Village (11325 Seven locks Road Suite 180, Potomac MD 20854). The new location is adjacent to Colony Grill on the back side of the shopping center and opened last month. Now, the restaurant will be holding a grand opening celebration on Monday, April 28th, offering 25% off all in-store orders.
