Our Lady of Good Counsel (17301 Old Vic Blvd. in Olney) announced in a letter to the community in Tuesday that former MCPS principal Edward Owusu has been named the high school’s next principal. Owusu served as the principal of Clarksburg High School from 2017 until his retirement from MCPS on January 1st, 2024. The full announcement can be seen below:
A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8pm today. Per the National Weather Service, “Expect wind gusts greater than 40 mph. Wind gusts of this magnitude will make driving high profile vehicles difficult, and cause loose outdoor objects to be blown around. Secure loose outdoor objects to prevent property damage.” This evening there have been several incidents reported by Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS), though not all may be attributed to the wind. This 6 week Saturday tennis clinic is designed for middle school players who want to learn and improve their tennis skills in a fun and supportive environment. Players will build confidence on the court while developing strong fundamentals and enjoying the game with other students.
