Montgomery County Council will meet on March 25 to continue reviewing the Fiscal Year 2026 Capital Budget and amendments to the Fiscal Year 2025-2030 Capital Improvements Program. The meeting will also include proclamations recognizing Mom and Pop Small Business Day and Equal Pay Day, as well as discussions on funding adjustments for public safety, stormwater management, recycling, and Montgomery County Public Schools projects. Two juveniles were arrested in Gaithersburg after allegedly burglarizing a gun store in Springfield, VA, where they used a vehicle to ram the entrance and steal multiple firearms before fleeing into Maryland. Montgomery County Police, with assistance from Fairfax County detectives and Gaithersburg Police, apprehended the suspects, recovered multiple stolen firearms, and continue to search for a third suspect.

Ride On is hosting an art contest for middle school students to celebrate 50 years of service in Montgomery County. The goal of the contest, which began on March 15th and runs until April 15th, is to educate students about Ride On and encourage them to use Ride On when traveling in Montgomery County.
