On Thursday afternoon, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a fire at a single-family home located in the 9200 block of Rosehill Drive in Bethesda. The fire, which began in the garage, quickly spread to the basement and first floor of the residence. MCFRS Chief spokesperson provided an update on Friday morning.

Gaithersburg residents will cast their ballots for Mayor and two City Council Members on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. All Council Members serve at-large. The terms of office for Mayor Jud Ashman and Council Members Lisa Henderson and Jim McNulty expire in November. The Mayor and City Council Members elected in 2025 will each serve a four-year term.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) advises that if you encounter a lone fawn, it’s best not to disturb, feed, or handle it. Removing deer from their natural habitat and keeping them in captivity is illegal in Maryland, a rule in place to protect animal welfare and public safety.
