MCPS is currently holding initial information community meetings regarding the upcoming boundary study as the school system prepares to expand its high school offerings with upcoming opening of Crown High School (Gaithersburg), the reopening of Charles W. Woodward High School, and the expansion of Damascus High School.

Bethesda

The Montgomery County Council unanimously approved the Bethesda Downtown Plan Minor Master Plan Amendment, which updates the 2017 plan to improve implementation of public amenities such as parks, transportation, a new recreation center, and affordable housing. (more…)

Beyond MoCo

Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced a settlement with Baltimore-based American Management II, LLC, under which the company agreed to revise its tenant screening policies to remove blanket felony exclusions, waive application fees for certain applicants, and pay a civil penalty following concerns about potential housing discrimination.
