Detectives Investigate Shooting; Surveillance Footage Released, Asking for Public’s Assistance

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section are investigating a shooting that occurred at approximately 7 p.m., on Sunday, March 20, 2022, in downtown Silver Spring. Detectives have released surveillance video of two suspects and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.

At approximately 7 p.m., on Sunday, March 20, 2022, 3rd District officers responded to Kaldi’s Social House in 900 block of Silver Spring Avenue for the report of a shooting that just occurred. Upon arrival, officers determined that a fight broke out in front of Kaldi’s Social House. During the fight an unknown Black male suspect began shooting. A second unknown Black male suspect was observed displaying a firearm. Both suspects fled the scene of the incident.

While on scene at Kaldi’s Social House, 3rd District officers located the scene of an additional shooting that occurred in the residential parking garage located in the 8110 block of Fenton Street.
