Labor Day Detours Will Impact Ride On Routes 5 and 57 on Monday, September 4

Per MCDOT: Due to Labor Day Celebrations, Ride On Routes 5 and 57 will experience detours on Monday, Sept. 4. Information for each detour can be found below.

Route 5
To Twinbrook Station: From Metropolitan Avenue, right on St. Paul Street, left on Perry Avenue, left on University Boulevard to Connecticut Avenue, and back on route. Stop 24038 will be bypassed. Use alternate stops 24036 and 21392.

To Silver Spring Station:  From Knowles Avenue, left on Connecticut Avenue, continue on University Boulevard, right on Perry Avenue, right on St. Paul Street, left on Metropolitan Avenue, and back on route. Stops 24026, 24960, 21284, and 21282 will be bypassed. Use alternate stops 24028 and 23512.

Route 57

To Lakeforest: From East Diamond Avenue, right on Girard Street, right on Goshen Road, left on Odendhal Avenue, right on Contour Road, left on Lost Knife Road and back on route. Stops 24644, 25698, 25696, 25692, 25690, 21822, 17053 and 21818 will be bypassed. Use alternate stops 23722 and 21816.

To Shady Grove: Leaving Lakeforest Transit Center, left on Odendhal Avenue, right on Goshen Road, left on Girard Street, left on East Diamond Avenue and back on route. Stops 24648, 25714, 25716, 25718, 25720, 25722, 25724 and 21810 will be bypassed. Use alternate stops 23722 and 21812.

Ride On bus fare is only $1 and monthly passes are $22.50 using SmarTrip, cash, or tokens. Seniors age 65 or older, persons with disabilities and youth ages 18 and under all ride free using specialized SmartTrip cards.

Riders can plan trips online using the free Ride On Trip Planner App.
