The Kennedy Shriver Aquatic Center (KSAC), located at 5900 Executive Blvd in Rockville, will close on June 28, 2024 for renovations.

The project, lead by the County’s Department of General Services is expected to last at least two years. Any current annual passes will continue to be valid at all County indoor and outdoor pools. Montgomery County Recreation has indoor facilities located in Olney, Germantown and White Oak.  In addition, the new Silver Spring Recreation and Aquatic Center is scheduled to open prior to the KSAC closure. The seven outdoor pools are located throughout the County and are open between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Per MoCo Rec: “We understand the inconvenience this may cause.  As such we are offering pro-rated refunds on passes that expire July 1, 2024 or later should you chose not to use another facility. Pro-rated refunds must be requested in writing, either by US mail or email, by June 28, 2024. Requests can be emailed to [email protected] or mailed to Montgomery County Recreation, Attn: Finance Office, 2425 Reedie Drive, 10th Floor, Wheaton, MD 20904. Pro-rated refunds will only be issued from July 1, 2024 through the expiration of your pass.  Once a refund is issued, passes will no longer be valid and admission fees will apply to future visits.”
