The Baked Bear is Offering Free Ice Cream on Saturday, Feb. 24th

The Baked Bear, located at 929 Rose Ave. in Pike & Rose (North Bethesda), is celebrating its customer appreciation day by offering free scoops of ice cream from noon to 6pm on Saturday, February 24th.

The Pike & Rose location is the DMV’s only location, opening in May of 2018. The dessert spot had plans to open a Rio location soon after the Pike & Rose opened, but those plans fell through. The Baked Bear specializes in “monstrous ice cream sandwiches” that are held together by your choice of fresh-baked cookies or brownies. Your “free scoop” can be upgraded to a sandwich, but you’d have to pay for the cookie or brownie. Here’s how a traditional baked bear ice cream sandwich works:

1. You choose your top and bottom (you’re able to mix and match between cookies and brownies).

2. You choose from one of 13+ craft ice cream flavors.

3. You add your toppings (brownies bits, sprinkles, fruity pebbles, Nutella, Oreo crumbs, etc.).

4. It’s hot pressed for your enjoyment.

The Baked Bear also offers hot fudge sundaes, bear bowls, cookies, floats, brownies, and ice cream.
