Former ‘Inside The Squared Circle’ Hosts Reunite To Battle it Out

If you were a wrestling fan growing up in Montgomery County in the 80’s and 90’s, Inside the Squared Circle (ITSC) was a program you may have made it a habit to catch each week. Back before the internet, ITSC was the only place you could hear insider and backstage information about professional wrestling. ITSC’s Massive Mike and Ernest L Stanley went one on one with the X-Man Exaire Anderson managing Stanley for the match. The card also featured former WWE wrestlers Enzo Amore and James Ellsworth. First Look at Maryland’s Newest Dominican Restaurant, Punta Cana Tropical Grill

Punta Cana Tropical Grill, a new Dominican restaurant at 9324 Georgia Ave in Silver Spring, is now open. The restaurant is located in the space that was previously home to Tropics Ice Cream & Jerk and our very own Mr. MoCo stopped by this weekend to support and provide a first look (video below).

Dirty Dough Sets Tentative Opening Date For First Montgomery County Location

Back in May we let you know that Dirty Dough is coming to 36B Maryland Ave in Rockville Town Square. The cookie shop will be taking over the location that was the longtime home of Berry Cup, which closed in the summer of 2022. Dirty Dough made an appearance as a vendor at Rockville Town Square’s tree lighting event and let us know at they are aiming for a Wednesday, December 18th opening.

New 80,000 SF Maryland Wegmans Store Will Be Among 2025 Openings

While the 2025 opening timeframe has been in the plans for Wegmans upcoming Rockville location, including signage at the upcoming location, the grocery store officially announced that Rockville will be one of three new Wegmans stores opening in 2025 and May have given a clue as to when in 2025 we can expect it.

Taylor Momsen is widely recognized for her roles as Cindy Lou Who in How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Jenny Humphrey in Gossip Girl, but did you know she grew up in Potomac? She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School in Bethesda for her elementary education and later moved on to Hoover Middle School.

Rockville Office Building Sells For $10.75 Million

Last month we let you know that the office building at 121 Rockville Pike was being auctioned off by Ten-X later this month with a starting bid of $6 million. The building was previously home to Choice Hotels headquarters prior to the company’s move to Pike & Rose earlier this year, and the winning bid came in at $10.75 million ($10.965 million with transactions fees), according to Maryland Newsletters.

Markoff’s, popular for their annual Halloween haunt creation that has entertained visitors for years, has launched Christmas at Calleva (19120 Martinsburg Rd., Dickerson, MD). The Christmas Trail is designed to “enchant visitors of all ages” with interactive scenes inspired by the classic Christmas stories like Rudolph and The Polar Express.
