Bethesda’s JBG SMITH Named Top Workplace in the Washington Area by the Washington Post

JBG SMITH, (NYSE: JBGS), a leading owner and developer of high-quality, mixed-use properties in the Washington, DC market that is based in Bethesda, is proud to announce it has been named one of The Washington Post’s 2022 Top Workplaces in the region. In addition to the Top Workplace recognition, JBG SMITH earned four Culture Excellence Awards, including Leadership, Innovation, Compensation & Benefits, and Purpose & Values.

Per the Press Release: Now in its ninth year, The Post’s Top Workplaces highlights the companies that are leaders in the Washington area as chosen by their own employees through an anonymous third-party survey. The survey, administered by research partner Energage, LLC, was completed by employees earlier this year and measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection.

“To know that our employees, even though we have all been through so much over the last two years, remain passionate and eager to work at JBG SMITH each day is incredibly humbling,” said Carey Goldberg, JBG SMITH Chief Human Resources Officer. “We strive to provide our team with an environment that allows them to succeed and continue to be in awe over what they accomplish year after year. It is no surprise that this amazing group of individuals has shaped one of DC’s top workplaces.”

Added Chief Executive Officer Matt Kelly, “I am a firm believer that a company’s employees are what makes it great – and our team’s contributions and dedication are unquestionably what make JBG SMITH the absolute best place to work. I want to thank each and every one of our employees for creating a dynamic workplace and culture teeming with innovation, collaboration, and enthusiasm.”

More than 7,000 companies in the region were invited to participate in this year’s ranking, and a record number of employees completed the survey.
