Construction Progressing on the New Avocet Tower in Downtown Bethesda.
Located at 7373 Wisconsin Avenue, on the corner of Montgomery Avenue and Wisconsin Avenue, the Avocet Tower is slated to be completed in the summer of 2021.
The building will feature 370,000 feet of office space, the 220 room AC Hotel, a two-story lobby, an outdoor plaza, and a roof terrace with 360 degree views of the Bethesda skyline from the top floor. The rooftop will even feature views of the U.S. Capitol and Washington Monument.
The location of the Avocet Tower provides for great access to both the Red and future Purple Lines, the Capital Crescent Trail, and I-270 and I-495.
The Avocet Tower is being constructed on the former site of the Montgomery County Second District Police Station. StonebridgeCarras, the developer, agreed to build a police station to replace the one that was demolished. It is now at 4823 Rugby Avenue in the Woodmont Triangle neighborhood in Bethesda.
