KFC on 355 in Gaithersburg Has Closed
Thanks to a reader tip we’ve learned that the KFC located at 426 N Frederick Ave in Gaithersburg has closed.
Besides a hand written note on the front door, no other information is known at this time except that the building is available for lease (call 301.536.7900 if interested).
This KFC, located next to Sardi’s, was a popular driving school student destination for many years.
Earlier this month KFC released a Lifetime movie starring Mario Lopez as a sexy Colonel

Not surprised. If you went to this place over the last couple of years you NEVER got what you ordered just whatever happened to be left over.
Sad. It’s been a year since I was last there but I always enjoyed going there.
I’m so sad to see the KFC of Gburg is closed. Always friendly service
Went to the drive thru, twice one of employees stole my credit card info. Went inside and it was so filthy I turned around, never went back
The same thing happened to me at that location. I really liked their coleslaw, but switched to Popeye’s after the fraud on my credit card.
Unfriendly restaurant all the ladys were so rude and no good English
I tried going there last night, handwritten signs in the windows said “temporarily closed” but no return date
Why KFC do not open a branch at 355 and old Georgetown road? Or that is a great location otherwise no KFC on355!
There’s one in Germantown off Gunners Rd that’s combined with Taco Bell.
Same in Wheaton off University Blvd W
Of course the worst food and service ever. Glad to see that location shut down. Finally!
There is one right near shady grove hospital also

Sorry to see it go it was a clean and friendly place years ago not sure what happened over the years that it went downhill.
I was looking enough to get bones in my chicken pot pie a bunch of times last one broke my tooth and had to have it extracted dealing with insurance not only that but when you were at the drive-thru while ordering you can look down and see all the rats running back and forth behind Sardis Knowing damn well that probably going into the KFC as well this should be a nice spot to house a Burger King since there’s none close by you have shady Grove and you have Germantown but none in the Gaithersburg Central area or even a Sonic if I could get a dream come true
