Many Facebook groups, locally, nationally, and internationally, are being targeted by scammers who are attempting to pull at heart strings by creating missing children posts and asking for the made-up information be shared.
MCPS will join Baltimore City Public Schools and Washington County Public Schools as school districts that will pilot girls’ flag football during the Fall 2024 season, joining Frederick County Public Schools, which successfully piloted girls’ flag last year. On Thursday, Governor Wes Moore announced that the Maryland Higher Education Commission has awarded $18.75 million in campus safety grants to Maryland’s colleges and universities, including Montgomery College. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a 2nd alarm at the Spencerville Seventh Day Adventist Church, located at 16325 New Hampshire Ave, near Norbeck Road in Cloverly/Ednor at approximately 1:30am.
Per the State of Maryland: “Governor Wes Moore today urged Marylanders to continue to monitor the path of the remnants of Hurricane Debby and to prepare for its possible impacts to the state. The storm is expected to travel through the Carolinas and Virginia before arriving in Maryland later today, with impacts continuing into tomorrow.
