The Montgomery County Planning Board approved a conditional use application for a new car wash in Damascus during its March 26, 2026 meeting, clearing the way for a redevelopment project at 26203 Ridge Road. The application, filed as Conditional Use No. CU202503, allows for the construction of a car wash on a site currently developed as a former bank property along MD 27.

Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced that his Consumer Protection Division, in coordination with the Federal Trade Commission, has reached a settlement of civil charges against multiple Lindsay Automotive Group entities, including Lindsay Ford in Wheaton, over allegations that consumers were misled into paying more than advertised prices for vehicles.

Gaithersburg

Construction is now underway on a new strip retail development in Gaithersburg. Matan Companies announced on April 2 that it has broken ground on a 10,175 SF retail strip at 715 Progress Way, located on a one-acre parcel at the intersection of Montgomery Village Avenue and MD-355. The site already draws significant traffic thanks to nearby national brands like Chick-fil-A and Sheetz.
