The house has been on the market for two days at a time where the  median sale price of a home in Montgomery County was $650K last month, up 2.4% since last year (according to Redfin).

On Wednesday, Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced appointments to the Maryland Commission on Hate Crime Response and Prevention, which is composed of 25 stakeholders from a cross-section of law enforcement, state and local institutions, and organizations representing communities targeted by hate crimes. Announcement

When I moved back to Northern Virginia after several years in New York, most of my old friends had moved away. I found myself rebuilding a social circle from scratch.

I had plenty of people I could connect with online, but that wasn’t translating into anyone to grab a beer with after work, play trivia with, or text when I wanted to get out of the house. Making new friends as an adult required far more deliberate effort than I remembered.

MoCo Government

On Tuesday, the Montgomery County Council passed Bill 8-24, Human Rights and Civil Liberties – Fair Criminal History and Credit Screenings – Amendments. Bill 8-24, which strengthens the county’s compliance with “ban the box” requirements that removes the checkbox on job applications that asks if applicants have a criminal record. (more…)

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is investigating a man being fatally shot in Northeast. The decedent has been identified as 38-year-old Ruben Jesus Munoz- Romero of Takoma Park, Maryland.
