In the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Judge Christopher Fogleman sentenced Markus Dowdy to 42 years in prison for the 2023 shooting death of Marvin Jefferson and the wounding of a second victim at a carry-out restaurant in White Oak.
The community is coming together to support Oliver, a local pig who suffered severe injuries after being attacked, believed to be by a loose dog or dogs, while in his barn earlier this week.
In a statement released Friday, Governor Wes Moore said the Trump Administration has directed Maryland not to issue SNAP benefits and withheld legally required contingency funds, warning that approximately 680,000 residents, including 270,000 children, may not receive food assistance beginning November 1. There’s a stubborn myth about this series: that because Quince Orchard has owned the win column, every regular-season meeting since 2014 and 13 of the last 15 overall, the Cougars simply roll through the Jaguars.
