The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred on Tuesday, September 23, in Wheaton. A 52-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle on eastbound Veirs Mill Road at Ennalls Avenue around 7:27 p.m. and later died from her injuries. (more…)

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources has awarded $1.5 million to the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission to support the first phase of redevelopment at RedGate Park in Rockville. The 130-acre property, once home to RedGate Golf Course, is being transformed into a public park after the course closed in 2018.
