The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) arrested 33-year-old Stephen Donatus Sheehy-Poore of Silver Spring for a commercial robbery at a 7-Eleven on Fenton Street. Detectives, assisted by the Real-Time Intelligence Center (RTIC), identified Sheehy-Poore through surveillance footage, obtained a warrant, and took him into custody on March 24. (more…)

After more than 90 years of service in Ocean City, MD, Alaska Stand on 9th Street announced last month that it will be closing its doors. In a message to the community, the owners expressed their gratitude for the cherished memories created at the 9th Street Boardwalk location and confirmed that Thrasher’s Fries will take over the space. Detectives from the Gaithersburg Police Department – Investigative Section have arrested 32-year-old Louis Jeffery Hanley of Olney, MD. He faces charges of first-degree assault, firearm use in a violent crime, and reckless endangerment stemming from an incident that took place last December in Gaithersburg’s Downtown Crown neighborhood.
