Leon Harris issued a statement on Tuesday announcing his decision to step away from his role at NBC4 to prioritize his health and family after more than 40 years in the news industry. Gaithersburg

Shortly before 3:30pm on Tuesday on Stewartown Road near Goshen Road in Gaithersburg, a two-vehicle collision prompted an emergency response from Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services. According to dispatch details, some occupants were trapped inside one of the vehicles at the scene.

Two Montgomery County based businesses– Saints Row Brewing and the La Casita family of restaurants– have joined forces to launch a truly locally inspired Latino beer. The new brew, named El Rancho, is a Central American-style lager featuring a blend of American and Neomexicanus hops. Bethesda

In Montgomery County Circuit Court, Judge Sharon Burrell sentenced 26-year-old Cesar Alexander Lopez of Hyattsville to ten years in prison, suspending all but five years, followed by five years of supervised probation. Lopez pleaded guilty in November 2024 to involuntary manslaughter in the death of 17-year-old Aiden Vining, who overdosed after taking pills purchased from him. (more…)
